This is a generally satisfactory bed and the main parts are indeed solid maple. However, they are somewhat minimal in size, and the joints are not as tight as would be desirable. It is a bit wobbly. The dowels in the headboard are merely set in place, not glued or otherwise fastened. As a result, the headboard assembly tends to fall apart as you are trying to attach it to the other parts, and the dowels remain loose after assembly.
